So why "Loves Books, Needs Coffee?" Pretty simple. As a mom and teacher, my reading time usually happens at night. This means the better the book, the longer I stay up to read. You know how it goes. You just keep thinking one more chapter. Then you get to the end of that chapter and something amazing happens and you have to read just one more. Soon you're telling yourself 4 hours is plenty of sleep to get through the next day. There were days where coffee became my only hope. After one particular night of staying up way too late to handle a group of rambucous, energetic 6th graeders, I was driving to work when I thought of a fun idea. I should rate books based on how many cups of coffee I need the next day becauseI couldn't put the book down the night before. I thought it would be a super fun way for me to mix my love of reading and writing by trying a blog with it. Well, 3 years later, I'm finally ready to try it. Over the last three years, my ideas for the blog have evolved, but I still hope to keep the basic idea going. I still love books and need my coffee way too many mornings.
